January 28, 2009 NEW HAVEN – Renee C. Redman has been appointed Executive Director of the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC), the human rights organization that focuses on establishing a comprehensive and objective historical record of the human rights situation in Iran.

“We are thrilled to have Renee Redman as the new Executive Director,” said Owen Fiss, Chair of the IHRDC. “She takes charge at a moment when all eyes are turning to Iran,” he added “and brings to the endeavor a scrupulous regard for the facts and an uncompromising commitment to human rights.” “IHRDC is a new organization, and a bold one,” he explained, “and Renee Redman will place it at the center of all debates about Iran and its human rights record.”

Redman is an experienced human and civil rights attorney.
