Grave Concern for the SITUATION of Hossein Ronaghi

Hossein Ronaghi, who was taken into custody on September 24, 2022, needs urgent medical attention. Ronaghi is in danger of kidney failure. Furthermore, Ministry of Intelligence agents have reportedly broken both of his feet.

Ronaghi spoke to his family on the second day of his arrest. Ronaghi has called his mother once more, but he could barely speak, to the extent that his mother was hardly able to recognize his voice.

Ronaghi’s family have not spoken to him since the fire at Evin prison, and they are gravely concerned for his health.

The Iran Human Rights Documentation Center calls on the international community to pressure the Iranian government to immediately release Ronaghi and allow him to receive the medical care he needs.
