(5 January 2012) The Iran Human Rights Documentation Center has obtained exclusive video of a public execution of three persons that took place in Azadi Square in Kermanshah, Iran this morning, Thursday, 5 January, 2012. The names and ages of the three men hanged are reportedly Sassan Basami, 36 years of age; Ali Reza Ahmadi, 48 years of age; and Sadegh Eskandari, 33 years of age. According to IHRDC’s running list of executions in the Islamic Republic of Iran (see https://iranhrdc.org/ihrdc-chart-of-executions-by-the-islamic-republic-of-iran-2011/), the IRI government carried out 659 executions of persons in 2011.
