Iran has put more prominent moderates on trial in connection with the unrest that erupted after the June
          presidential election.
A French citizen and a local employee of the French embassy in Tehran are reported to be among those being tried.
About 100 moderates were tried last Saturday for various charges including acting against national security, which is
punishable by the death penalty under Iran's Islamic law.
The defeated moderate presidential candidates Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi say the vote was rigged in favour
of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was sworn in on Wednesday.
The authorities deny the charge, but human-rights groups say hundreds of people, including senior pro-reform politicians,
journalists, activists and lawyers, have been detained since the election.
