Sign Petition to Stop Executions

Of countries that continue to apply the death penalty, the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) leads in number of executions per capita.  Of these executions, it is estimated that more than 70% are for drug-related offenses.  The IRI’s Anti-Narcotics Law mandates the death penalty for a wide range of drug-related offenses.  Click this petition to sign a letter urging the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and country donors including Norway, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Belgium, Ireland and Japan – which provide funding to the IRI’s anti-drug trafficking programs – to cease their support until such time that the IRI renounces its policy of mandatory death penalty for drug-related offenses.  Take action now!
