The assassination of Shahpour Bakhtiar, an Iranian dissident exile, in Paris on August 1991 is only one of many Iranian dissidents murdered abroad. Evidence suggests that the highest level of the Iranian government is behind the murders – the Supreme National Security Council. Other dissidents that have been assassinated include Kassem RaRajari, Abdelrahman Qassemlou, and Sadegh Sharafkandi.
