On June 1, 2011, in Tehran, a group of armed men in plainclothes attacked the funeral procession of Ezzatollah Sahabi, a noted opposition figure in Iran.
As a result of this attack Sahabi’s daughter Haleh Sahabi sustained injuries and eventually died later that day. Ali Kalaei, a university student at the time, was present for the attack on Sahabi’s funeral procession. Kalaei describes the attack and the events of the day of the funeral in this video testimony.
