          TEl-IRAN— ICurclish rebels yesterday overran the
          town of Paveh in western Iran after two days of
          Lighting in which 13 persons were kiUed, Iranian
          news reports said.
          The government did not confirm the fall of the
          town, in the }Curdistan region about 300 miles north-
          west of Tehran, but said government reinforcements
          had been unable to get through.
          The latest uprising of the rebellious ICurcis, who.
          seek autonomy for their region, was seen as a set-
          back for the Islamic government of Ayatollah flu-
          hollah Khomeini.
          Khomeini, meanwhile, broadcast a personal mes-
          sage declaring today a national day of solidarity
          with the Palestinian people and calling Israel and
          the United States enemies of islam”
