1.   The Committee considered the third periodic of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CCPR/C/IRN/3) at its 2834th, 2835th and 2836th meetings (CCPR/C/SR/2834, CCPR/C/SR/2835 and CCPR/C/SR/2836), held on 17 and 18 October 2011. At its 2857^th and 2858th meetings (CCPR/C/SR/2853 and CCPR/C/SR/2858), held on 2 November 2011, it adopted the following concluding observations.
