Court Date for Baha’i Leaders Set for June 12, 2010 Written by admini Friday, 04 June 2010 00:48 – HRANA – The court date for the next trial of the imprisoned Baha’i leaders has been set for June 12, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. The attorneys for the former members of Yaran (friends) received an official written correspondence notifying them of the trial date. The prisoners were allowed to have visitations with their families on May 27, 2010. The visits took place behind glass, except in the case of Mr. Jamaloddin Khanjani and Mrs. Fariba Kamalabadi who were permitted a face to face visit with their families. The prisoners had previously been allowed to call their families on May 23, 2010. June 12, 2010 is the one year anniversary of the disputed Presidential elections in Iran. Experts and analysts have predicted the anniversary date to be a tumultuous day of protests. It is unclear why the authorities have selected this particular date for the next trial session.
